An intention is idea that you plan (or intend) to carry out. If you mean something, it's an intention. Your goal, purpose, or aim is your intention. It's something you mean to do, whether you pull it off or not.
This month, I intended to take care of myself and allow myself some self-love. I bought some skincare products to start. I think from the previous years, I came to a point where I didn’t care much about skincare because as an acne-prone girlie, I've never seen results from my routines. So I decided this year that I would take care of myself - I can't pour from an empty cup so I need to take care of myself and my well-being in all aspects.
I asked on threads what vitamins they would recommend and got tons of responses. I HATE TAKING MEDICINES AND VITAMINS. Wait, let me rephrase that, I don't actually hate it - I just don't like the texture of capsules and tablets in my mouth and how awfully hard it is to swallow them. After much consideration, I bought 2 bottles of vitamin gummies: Ashwagandha and Calcium Magnesium Zinc with Vit D3 + K2 + B6 + B12. Hopefully, this makes it easier for me to actually take vitamins. So far, so good.

It's almost the end of the month and I've already started planning for things I need to do in March. But the first thing I did was to think of what my intention would be for next month.
For the month of March, my intention is to appreciate what my body can do and love it back. I’ve recently just started to train for a 5km marathon this April. As someone who does not run (and does not even regularly exercise) this is actually a huge thing for me. I'm grateful that my hubby joined me in training, because what usually demotivates me to start moving is the lack of company but I hope one day I can do it even by myself! Aside from that, we will be hiking Mt. Pinatubo this March which is something I'm excited about! This is something my high school BFFs and I have planned since last year. It's been a couple of years since I hiked Mt. Ulap and Dingalan Mountain View so I'm glad to do it again this year.
MY CURRENT SELF-CARE PRACTICES:
🧘🏻♀️ Physical Self-Care: Running, Taking Vitamins, Calorie Counting, Being mindful of what I eat
📚 Mental Self-Care: Reading more books, Taking up courses to upskill, Outsourcing work
🍃 Emotional Self-Care: Being more present, Journaling, Learning to express what I feel
💳 Financial Self-Care: Intentional Saving, Tracking my expenses
🙏🏻 Spiritual Self-Care: Reading the Bible, Listening to Devotional Podcasts in the morning
Of course, I'm not pressuring myself to do everything all at once. I still give myself grace at times when I forget to do things I need to do. In the long run, I want things to be sustainable and not forced.
